MOTÖRHEAD: LEMMY Solo Album To Feature Horn Section, Saxophone And Blues Piano Player
June 20, 2004MOTÖRHEAD's Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister spent time at Berlin's Monongo studios (web site) last week recording more tracks for his solo project. Guitarist Jim Voxx of SKEW SISKIN, who own the Monongo facility, is producing/recording and mixing two of the songs for the project, and word is that he might mix the entire CD. A full horn section was recorded, a saxophone player, a blues piano player and a lot more, according to a posting on SKEW SISKIN's web site. "Jim will have to turn a few buttons, to manage 54 tracks," stated SKEW SISKIN frontwoman Nina C. Alice, "but he'll do great. Just like he did on our current CD, 'Album Of The Year'."
Among the songs set to appear on the as-yet-untitled CD are two tracks each with THE REVERED HORTON HEAT, THE DAMNED (including a cover of THE DAMNED's "Neat Neat Neat"),and SKEW SISKIN ("Stand Upon The Mountain" and "Don't Matter To Me"). A 2005 release is expected.
